  4. This module attempts to correct an error present in sounds recorded with the SID II.

  6. If you turn down the gain on the SID II and record to disk, examination of the data will show that silence, which should produce values of 128 (0x80), actually produces a value different than 128.  This affects sound quality and causes problems with some digital effects.

  8. Wavicle can correct this problem once the SID II has been calibrated (through the Preferences dialog), so this module does not need to be run on sounds recorded with Wavicle after calibration.
